I contacted Andy in the 11th hour because I wanted to add something special to my wedding reception and learned about event painting with only a few weeks to go. Right off the bat, she was so sweet, down-to-earth and accommodating. I thought her price was very fair and she walked me through the selection process before the big day. The day of the wedding, she arrived early to paint the background of the space, so when the reception began, the painting itself was well underway. The wedding party and our parents had a prominent place in the painting and I realized afterwards that she had taken photos of these people before the wedding began so that she could paint them from the photos - brilliant! During the wedding itself, many of our guests visited Andy and marveled at her work, and she was so sweet and friendly with every person. My 90 year old grandmother, a painter herself, particularly loved watching Andy paint. And when she realized she wasn't in the painting, Andy kindly added her! (I'm so glad this happened. The wedding seriously goes by in a blink and didn't remember to tell Andy to include her - so I'm so thankful to Andy for being flexible and doing so.) A few weeks after the wedding, Andy continued to be helpful with framing suggestions and tips. Oh, and did I mention I love the painting itself? Such a special, unique and beautiful keepsake that we will continue to enjoy long after the wedding high wears off. Highly, highly recommend!
