New Year's Eve First Dance in Oils
This young handsome couple danced amid a large ring; a huge bridal party and guest attendance made for a warm, dreamy romantic celebration on the last night of the year!

Live Painting at Moonstone Manor, Elizabethtown, PA
The lands surround this majestic manor made for an unforgettable backdrop for this painting I created live for the bride and groom; a gift from the bride's mother.
The owners of the manor and the staff were such a hard-working and fun crowd, and everyone had a wonderful time. Plus, I LOVE painting outdoors at such a place as this.

Painting in a Delaware Vineyard
I created this painting just before a summer storm under the trees at the Nassau Valley Vineyard in Lewes, Delaware. It was an intimate and dreamlike affair, and I carried my supplies and easel indoors for the reception. I do this often to allow guests to continue to watch the painting until it's completion.

Elegant Wedding at the famous Natirar; Morristown, NJ
This was my first live wedding painting; and the bride and groom were an classy couple who married at this candlelit estate. Natirar is a magical place with endless wooden hallways and stone terraces overlooking the northern New Jersey hills.

Rustic Pennsylvania Countryside Wedding at Linwood Estates
The bride and groom were surrounded by summer-dressed family and friends, pictures of generations of wedded ancestors, and a beautiful twilight. I painted their warmth in this simple rustic chic ballroom on the edge of the farm.

Dana and Joanna marry at Bear Creek Mountain Resort
After raising two children together, a doctor and a sensei married in this bright ski lodge at Bear Creek Resort in Southeastern PA. Though the wedding was intended for outdoors, the planners and celebrants alike made the new form of the celebration magical indoors! Moving poems, speeches, family dances, and two little honoree dogs made this an unforgettable affair to capture in oils.

Honoring a Gentlemen on his Ninetieth Birthday
It was incredible to position my easel among other textural oil paintings in the Main Line Art Center in Malvern, PA. More incredible was the poise of this 90th birthday honoree and his wife, among a beautiful family and devoted friends. While I painted, I listened to live accordion, watched a heart-warming family montage, and took in the life and light of this story and this creative setting.

Fun Family Bat Mitzvah
This beautiful girl was honored by her family at a lovely and tasteful mitzvah. Her theme celebrated her love not only of pink and purple but also of camping, adventure, and following her dreams. The kids loved watching the live event painting unfold, and their parents were mesmerized to see their children dancing together under the canopy of paper lanterns.

Wedding at the Farm on Old Capital Trail in Delaware
A hockey player groom and his friends welcomed an exceptionally beautiful bride down this summer lane. I painted in the peaceful Delaware afternoon as the chairs were arranged, capturing the range of greens in the diverse yard of trees before the big moment you see here.

A Sea of Smiling Faces
The bride and groom brought in the New Year by bringing their closest friends and family together, of all ages, to celebrate their nuptials. This wedding at the Westin in Philadelphia, was quite a party; the music and cocktails poured forth late in to the night.

Posh Wedding at the Rittenhouse Hotel; Philadelphia, PA
The playfulness and warmth of the bride was infectious at this Rittenhouse affair. The room had been transformed from the ceremony space to this party scene, and I remained at my easel documenting the gowns, the playful dancing, and the guests becoming acquainted at the many tables. I enjoy making a room feel full of life, and this was a great reception to explore this look.

Diner En Blanc
I had the immense honor of painting at this Diner En Blanc in Washington, DC. All the guests dressed in white, and dined in the open air along the harbor. I can't think of a more interesting or illustrious event to commemorate as a live event painter.

Hora in Live Oils
The Hora is such a beautiful tradition for all present, especially when the band sings with great passion and the couple are blushing with the fact that it's their turn up there on the chairs! I'm always super excited and have to put down my brush to watch as everyone cheers and raises the couple! Of course, then I need to get right back to it to capture this on canvas as it is happening.

Wedding Ceremony at The Downtown Club, Philadelphia
I was asked to paint at this ceremony as a surprise gift. The rabbi was so moved by my presence that he incorporated allusions to painting in his sermon. He created a beautiful analogy between the creative expression of painting and the emotional possibilities of love.

Laura Troia of The Wedding Company weds at the Garden City Hotel in Long Island
Laura and Michael embraced in the gilded Grand Ballroom in the Garden City Hotel in Long Island during their elegant black tie affair, and I was situated to paint on a stage opposite their sweetheart table dais. Oil paint captures the light and the opulence of such a venue as this... if only I could have captured their decadent and delicious Viennese hour and their ice cream truck that rolled up to give departing guests a little treat on their way out.

Boca Raton Bride and Groom
The lawns and palms were green as only a Florida golf club could be as the bride and groom enjoyed gentle breezes in this late Spring wedding over Mother's Day weekend. I love to travel anywhere to paint, to explore new terrains and tones, and to learn new stories. This couple was hard-working in their plans for their big night, and I was honored to be such a big part of this experience.

Corporate Party at PAFA
Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, which we locals call PAFA, has countless galleries, halls, and stairwells, all of which feature incredible works of art. It's really lucky that they open these spaces up to celebrants, and this night I was hired to capture a lively corporate party. The CEO is from Mexico and was surprised with a primo Mariachi band whose songs many of the guests sang along to with great gusto.

Maryland Wedding Ceremony
The backdrop for the bride and groom was a steamy and radiant Summer arboretum in Maryland. The guests were a captive audience to the beautiful vows before being delivered rich foods and dancing in the same modern space. The venue was the peaceful Cylburn Arboretum at the Vollmer Center. I need to stress that I LOVE painting in Maryland! Everyone is amazingly warm, kind, and full of playfulness amid extreme professionalism.

Wedding in Lehigh Valley at the Glasbern
I love the Glasbern, so when I was hired by a family in the Lehigh Valley I was thrilled! The Glasbern is a farm, a series of secret berry-lined paths, a sexy inn, a restaurant, and a venue for limitless events. I captured this autumn wedding in oils through the night in a renovated barn space for a couple who were elated with their new work of art.
