This couple met in their fields of study in medicine and married; bringing both Indian and Afghani traditions into their beautiful micro wedding setting under a tent with this elaborate backdrop. Addison Park was the host.

I was honored to capture the wedding of one of the great wedding planners, Angela Lobello (ne Troia) of the Wedding Company.  She and her groom danced the night away among celebrating family at the iconic Plaza Hotel.  I was perched in the balcony for a wonderful view.

This was one of my first weddings after quarantine to create, live, and I was so ready to paint this in oils for this gorgeous bride in her long veil. The Historic Hotel Bethlehem has so many beautiful spaces, and this elegant space was perfect for this micro wedding.

This was quite a wedding!  I was perched on a high stage beside a fabulous band and alongside of oysters, sushi, and a massive papparazzi press wall made of white roses.

I painted this, live, for a bride whose dogs were just as important to her family image as her human counterparts.  This was a dreamlike rural Maryland wedding with endless doses of sophistication and Southern charm.

I painted this live event painting for a bride and groom among a celebratory gathering of great friends.  The music was incredible, and my work was photographed and time-lapsed while I worked with a talented team of event planners.  The bride and I worked diligently to honor her refined taste in her art collection and home decor.  She and I remain close friends.

In Allentown NJ

This painting is formatted at 18"x36," and I couldn't have considered a better setting to use this panoramic canvas.  All day I absorbed the rays of the bucolic New York sun to feature a bride and groom who snuck away for an embrace (wow were they in love), and guests strolled about the grounds beside the Red Barn and the Pondhouse.  The lands are owned by and touched by the best artists of our continent, and so I was an artist among them on hallowed grounds.

The bride and groom celebrated their first dance beneath the signature blast of rose petals, while I captured their embrace and their sea of celebrating guests.  The Curtis Center is a beautiful place to wed for many reasons, among them the history of musicianship and cultural finesse.  No better place than for a live artist to capture such an affair.

The love story of this bride and groom was evident without words as they embraced during a first dance; tightly surrounded by their bridal party.  Gotham Hall was once a bank, and the golden ampitheatre of this space carried the sounds of the piano and tenor sax during an oyster cocktail hour.  I was hired as a surprise gift to capture this moment for them to revisit again and again in viewing their painting.

These grooms wed after four decades together.  I spent the day, as a surprise gift from a family member, studying their breathtaking English garden while the two of them set up for their own celebration.  It was one of my favorite experiences because it was their home, and because the amount of love pouring from this intimate group of guests was profound.

Poised on an adjacent balcony overlooking a field of black tie guests, I painted the grand entrance and first kiss of the bride and groom at the Metropolitan Club in NYC.  I cannot say enough about this experience.  The venue and staff are impeccable, and I found this to be an exciting challenge as a painter.  The marble and streaming red carpeting were the perfect elements to explore with such a timeless medium as oil paint.  What better way to document this kind of a romantic moment than with the most romantic form of portraiture!

This is a detail of the wedding reception painting panorama at The Kaaterskill I captured from across a big lily padded pong, where the bride and groom snuck into the shadow of the barn to embrace.

A young man called me and asked if I would capture his proposal of marriage in oils.  We spoke many times about the details; location, timing, elements.  It was freezing and windy, and a crew of NYC workers were adoring the holiday tree with cherry-pickers.  When I told them of our plans they worked together to clear the area solely in support of this marriage proposal.  It was a true New York moment, when he got onto his knee and the workers, a secretly planted floutist (hired to play traditional Indian ballads), and me (also seemingly an un-planned painting bystander - as you can get away with this in Washington Square Park) all waited for the big "yes!"  Later, I brought the painting to the surprise of the lucky gal at a celebratory dinner.  I finished the painting as they watched me sign my work.

This is one of two paintings in a series depicting the wedding of a young, hard-working couple.  The groom and I worked diligently, sharing the vision and plans leading up to the creation of these gifts for his bride.  Working the stained glass vividly against the purity of the ivory marble tones was an exciting challenge.

This is the second of a diptych (two parts to a series) of paintings depicting this couple being wed in this pristine church.  I was asked to combine elements from a series of photographs, so in this case, I added the form of the organ to draw the viewers eye along the line of attendees to the altar where the bride and groom are framed.

I drove down a pastoral lane leaving a mountain ridge behind me and arrived at this family farm owned by two professors at Penn State University.  I set up my easel beyond a bridge over a stream by the horse pasture and witnessed the vows recited by a young couple at a home where they'd spent their first days, months and years together.  Painting here was peaceful, in the way of plein air of the old masters.

The Holly Hedge Estate offers a variety of settings; both indoors and out, in which to stage a wedding.  This second time painting at Holly Hedge I was perched on a balcony overlooking the vows spoken by a young couple.  The groom and his men wore chucks, the bride was slender and fun.  After the sun set and the embers died down, the reception unfolded in the banquet hall where some great dancing took place, and I continued this painting as guests looked on.

I was asked by the children featured along the railing of this upper deck to paint live for their wedded parents.  They had just finished building this lake house and honored their nuptials with lobster and boat rides with their friends, all captured in this oil painting.

This couple wed in the temple ballroom full of familiar guests who partied the night away in elegance until 2am.  The videographer captured my work in a time lapse which can be viewed on this website.

 painted this for Sonja DeGoria, a highly professional and talented wedding planner, as I wasn't able to attend live.  A studio commission of this kind is a wonderful alternative when I am unable to attend a celebration.  This painting was quite small, and I used delicate brushwork to capture the luminescence and detail of the ballroom.

This wedding blew me away with the carved watermelon with the bride and groom's names, the silken wings of the dancers hired to entertain guests, and the unmatched beauty of both the bride and groom.  I felt like I was looking at the top tier celebrities in an epic Bollywood film, so extreme was their shared beauty and style.  That said, getting to capture their colorful and lively affair in oils was sheer bliss.  I even got to take a quick break and dance for a song or two!

Adrienne asked me to return to the beautiful grounds of the Linwood Estate to create, en plein air, a painting of their elegant and romantic surprise first wedding anniversary picnic.  The mother of the groom set up cake, champagne, ornately-wrapped gifts, and more personal and pastoral elements celebrating the story of this couple.  I set up hours before their arrival as a surprise gift from the bride to the groom, and welcomed them with their painting.  All of the unabashed romance aside, it was wonderful to return to this place of their nuptials and set up my easel on this beautiful lawn.

On New Year's Eve of 2016/17 I perched my easel along of row of windows and watched the lights of New Hope glow across the Delaware River as the celebrants of this couple entered a room built to feature the view of the night.  The feeling of fireworks and sounds of champagne corks rang through the night and my memory, as did the impact the changing and evolving painting, done live, had on guests.

I created this painting during a brief, lovely evening in Philadelphia at the boho-modern boutique hotel called Hotel Monaco in Philly.

I spied Melissa and Shawn on the sand outside of McCloone's Pier House as they spoke their vows.  Then they came up into the lofted space to dance among their young and playful bridal party and family and friends while I captured their wonderful night.  They were ecstatic with the painting in how it tied (I almost typed "tide"!) the ocean view with their celebration in the upstairs loft space of the pier house.

Colorful Sari's, a charmingly funny groom and his playful and gorgeous bride, and insanely delicious food to follow made painting this beautiful Indian wedding ceremony such a great pleasure in Princeton. 

Children, loved ones, special family stories all played a huge part in this Ballroom at the Ben.  The detail of this room and glamour of the nouveau chandeliers had me turn the canvas on its end for a portrait format to keep the movement of the night alive.

The couple wanted to feature the bridal party looking on as they embraced on the mezzanine.  The atrium brought subtle blue light into an otherwise warm and golden room as I painted by their side.

I painted this in oils at the historic Grand Ballroom and Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ. Loved the lush jewel tones of gold and garnet.

Not to make reference to Florida State with the "gold and garnet" but the tones of this room were reminiscent of a regal and rich color palette.  This groom gifted this live painting to his bride, who was elegant in her strapless gown and red lips during their lively first dance.
